Character + Isolation

We rarely acknowledge or honor the character building moments in our own lives and the lives of others.  We may have front seats for the ultimate triumph, but the story often begins before you get to the “juicy” part.

I just read my morning devotional on the story of David and Goliath and I was reminded that David’s triumph actually began in isolation. As a shepherd, David killed lions and bears to protect the sheep that were in his care.

I am reminded that your character is built in isolation.  I encourage you to be sensitive to your own moments of isolation where your character is being shaped.
